As part of efforts to promote education in the council area, the Chairman of Ijede Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has distributed free JAMB/UTME forms to indigent though intending students who prepare to sit for UTME/JAMB in the fourth edition of her annual educational support initiative.
The event was held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the council secretariat.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, Hon. Femi Kabir, Vice Chairman representing the council boss, stated that the council is placing premium on education because it remains pathway to development for any community.

“Here in Ijede LCDA, education remains a cornerstone of progress. We place a premium on education, which is why we continue this annual distribution of JAMB/UTME forms to indigent students.
“This initiative has opened doors to higher education for many who might otherwise have been left behind. In this fourth edition, we are distributing 200 free JAMB/UTME forms to support our young ones in pursuing higher education,” noted Vice Chairman Femi Kabir.

He also highlighted other complementary initiatives by the council aimed at equipping individuals with essential skills for economic empowerment through vocational training and digital literacy, with beneficiaries receiving start-up kits.
Beneficiaries expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity, describing the initiative as a stepping stone and a beacon of hope for a brighter future.
